HVAC/Refrigeration

Refrigeration Technologies

Duration: 7 Months

Heating & Cooling Scholarship

Campus Availability:

  • Phoenix, AZ

A career in climate control could happen even faster with this shorter program. In just 7 months, get hands-on training in diagnosing, servicing and repairing equipment as well as mechanical and electrical principles. Plus, the TWS network of support systems helps you achieve your goals fast.

  • Learn the fundamentals electricity & refrigeration.
  • Expand your knowledge to residential and commercial comfort systems maintenance.
  • Train in advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Additional training in solar power technologies.

Electro-Mechanical Technologies

Duration: 10 Months

Campus Availability:

  • Phoenix, AZ

Climate control and electricity are everywhere, and you could prepare for a career as an Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration technician and Maintenance Electrician all in the same 10 month training program! The EMT program at TWS also includes an overview of the sciences behind solar-powered systems. This kind of cross training could mean more job stability with faster upward mobility.

Associate of Occupational Studies in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering

Duration: 15 Months

Mechanical Maintenance Engineering has a wide range of potential employment options, including HVAC/R as well as institutional maintenance engineering, industrial refrigeration service and much more. Training takes just 15 months and you could be ready for a career servicing large, complex systems.

Welding Specialist

Duration: 7 Months

Campus Availability:

The Welding Specialist program prepares a graduate for entry level positions in structural, pipe and pipeline, and thin alloy welding. Key welding processes include SMAW (stick), GMAW/FCAW (MIG/Fluxcore), and GTAW (TIG) welding procedures. Students learn welding safety, torch cutting processes, proper arc welding equipment setup, important welding control techniques, fundamental welding processes, and basic welding metallurgy. This intense program is primarily lab based and focuses on developing critical welding skills.

  • Focused, hands-on training in the lab.
